About Highly Recommended Books

I have made available a link to Highly Recommended Books and Resources including multimedia resources. This link can be accessed in the right hand column under the title “Highly Recommended Reading”

This link connects you to an Amazon.com powered page with a number of books which I have read and recommend regularly to my private clients and patients. I will only recommend those books that I truly believe to be the best and will add others over time. I would love to hear your suggestions and recommendations as I am always on the look-out for new resources for clients.  Please note that I have chosen to feature books via Amazon for a couple of reasons. The first is that Amazon often allows you to peruse pages of books so you can see how you like them, rather than me just providing you with a book name. Also you can read other readers’ reviews and ratings. Thirdly, if you choose to purchase the book, Amazon provides you with a price-competitive, and most importantly, proven ultra-safe and reliable way to purchase resources from any where in the world. As a disclosure, if you were to buy these books through this avenue I would earn a small (4 %) affiliate fee. This is taken from Amazon’s profit not added to the book price. I will donate this income (if there is any) to the charity “Invisible Children” Of course these books are available from other sources and I will direct you to a better source if  I find one (or if you do!). If you wish to find a source more local to you for these books please email or tweet me and I will do my best to help. If you know of a better source please let me know.

Update: I have found another great source for books. The Book Depository is a UK based store which has prices comparable to Amazon, but it also offers FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE on any order.

I have found it to be a great alternative to Amazon. Check it out!

The BookDepository

Update: If you come from Australasia you might like to search for books from Fishpond which is a large New Zealand owned online bookstore. International orders are also welcome. I can personally vouch for the prices and service.

  1. You may want to include Australian physiotherapist Mary O’Dwyer book Hold it Sister. This book enables the reader to identify with themselves and act upon their own problems in a positive way.
